Philipsburg’s first settlers created a foundation of family values integral to our community today. Home to the state’s oldest schoolhouse, we have built a stable and thriving township committed to education and hard work. Our forefathers believed our daily toils ensure tomorrow’s prosperity, and we continue to honor that commitment.

Philipsburg School District #1, Granite High School, offers a well-packaged program for students from kindergarten through high school. With approximately two hundred and thirty students enrolled, the student-teacher ratio, which averages fourteen to one, ensures one-on-one attention and individualized instruction. Graduates from our high school build upon the foundation they receive and transition well to institutions of higher learning, whether it’s academic, vocational, military service, or the world’s workforce. Our educational goal is to maintain an excellent teaching and support staff to provide our graduating students with skills necessary to succeed in their future endeavors.
